First Father's Day

This last Sunday was Father's Day, Daniel's first Father's Day. I searched several stores in hopes of finding a shirt that read something like "First Father's Day" on it for Daniel to wear to church. No luck, but Walmart did have a shirt that read "World's Greatest Dad." Cadee wore her pink camouflage onesie that read "Daddy's Major Fan."

We ventured to Sunday morning church, we were a bit concerned that the Connection music might be a bit much and were prepared to wait in the hall until the live music had subsided. Once we got there several other parents of itty-bittys assured us that Cadee's ears would be fine. Our plan for the afternoon was a cook out with Daniel's family, at Uncle Rich and Aunt Dawn's new home in Elkhart. However, during worship we received a text that the cook out was cancelled because Rich was sick. We discussed our options and decided to drive to Angola to see Christy and Kevin's new apartment. My parent's were there and had gone to church with them. We had a relaxing afternoon, I may or may not have slept the majority of it. Cadee was fussy on the way home so I sat in back with her the last part of the drive. We headed right to church for Effect. I nursed Cadence but she was still fussy so I spent most of the evening in the nursing mother's room off the Connection Gym. Before the fussiness started, some new friends got to hold her.
